Bilingual (Spanish) Certified Medical Assistant
Work collaboratively with the medical provider, care coordinators, and clinical nurse managers. The MA is involved in both the clinical and clerical duties of the practice in order to deliver optimal patient care services within the scope of the medical assistant’s professional expertise. The MA prepares patients for exams by acquiring and recording medical history, obtains and records vital signs, administers vaccinations, performs EKG’s, vision, hearing, mental health and other necessary screenings and tests.
Education and Requirements: MA certification from an accredited school is highly desired; must be bilingual (English/Spanish) and have knowledge of medical terminology, computer and EMR experience required, Centricity preferred, current CPR certification required, minimum 1 year of experience as an MA is required, at least five years physician office experience preferred, and ambulatory or urgent care experience preferred.
