Joanaliz Nieves is a Bi-lingual Licensed Professional Counselor and and is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist for Family. She has been practicing within the field for over seven years. Joanaliz attended Kutztown University of Pennsylvania for four years and completed a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology and minor in both Sociology and Spanish. She continued her studies at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and completed their three-year CACREP Master’s Program in Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling Program, designed to meet the educational requirements for both the LMFT and LPC licenses.  During her time in her master’s program, she focused on providing mental health services to a wide range of individuals from diverse backgrounds. Joanaliz has worked with a wide array of community agencies within the mental health field, servicing children, families, couples, and individual counseling. Her key areas of focus are working with culturally diverse populations with an emphasis on the Latinx community, Survivors of Trauma, families and their children on the Autism Spectrum Disorder, Depression, and Anxiety. Joanaliz uses her experiences from the various settings she has worked with in to help clients advocate for their needs and be of service in the best way possible.
