We recently partnered with Bring The Change to provide essential healthcare services to the growing Haitian community in Reading.Many members of this community have barriers to accessing primary care. One big barrier is finding transportation to get to a doctor's office. Recognizing this, we utilized our mobile unit, Wellness on Wheels, to bring care to them.We served 12 patients on our first day partnering with Bring the Change, some of whom would not have seen a doctor otherwise. Looking forward, we are committed to reaching more individuals who lack access to critical care. The need in the Haitian community specifically, and the Berks community in general, is immense.
