We are pleased to announce the addition of three new providers at our Rockland location, expanding our capacity to serve more patients and furthering our commitment to accessible healthcare in Berks County.
Joining our dental team is Dr. Sonia Spadafora, a Berks County native eager to return to her roots at BCHC. While attending Wyomissing High School, Dr. Spadafora’s experiences shadowing local dentists solidified her passion for the field. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of New England, College of Dental Medicine in Portland, Maine.
Dr. Claire Trachtman is our newest member of BCHC’s Primary Care team. She completed her residency in family medicine at the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency in Lawrence, MA, after earning her Doctor of Medicine with High Distinction from Quinnipiac University, where she concentrated in Healthcare Management & Organizational Leadership. Dr. Trachtman’s interests include healthcare equity and social justice, prenatal and women’s healthcare, clinical leadership, quality improvement, and lifestyle medicine for disease prevention.
Also joining BCHC is Evelyn Colon-Vazquez on the Integrated Behavioral Health team. Evelyn is a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), Trauma-Informed Certified, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) with over fifteen years of experience supporting children, adults, families, and military personnel. Her specialties include trauma, depression, anxiety, and family conflict resolution.
Dr. Karen Wang, BCHC’s Chief Medical Officer, shared: “We are blessed to have Dr Spadafora, Dr Trachtman and Ms. Colon Vasquez join our provider team. These skilled professionals in dental care, primary care, and behavioral health are invaluable as we work toward our mission of expanding access and enhancing the health of our community.
