Women have special health care needs, and BCHC provides a full spectrum of women’s primary care services. BCHC is here to support the many different stages and changes of a woman’s body throughout her lifetime. Women interested in getting pregnant or learning about family planning and contraception counseling receive information and resources during their visits. Thanks to our strong community relationships, BCHC partners with local practices for patients to see specialty care providers for testing, ultrasounds and maternal fetal medicine.

BCHC is proud to partner with Safe Berks (safeberks.org). We work together on-site with their team of advocates for any members in a domestic violence situation.

Annual Well Woman Exams

Preventive health is extremely important for women of all ages. The BCHC women’s health team can schedule patients for these important yearly wellness visits to help women stay on top of their medical needs and live healthy, fulfilling lives.

Cervical and Breast Cancer Screenings

Cancer screenings save lives. At BCHC, we work to ensure that all women in our care receive screenings. The women’s health team provides support with coordinating additional screenings and follow-up.

Family Planning and Contraception

Every woman is in a different stage of life when it comes to considering starting a family. Our team can talk you through all of the options, whether you are considering getting pregnant, or not. Our providers will educate and empower you to choose the birth control method that is right for you.

STD Screenings

Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD's) are a considerable risk for all individuals who are sexually active. Our team provides tests, discusses results and care, as well as prevention methods.

Pregnancy Testing

BCHC offers FREE pregnancy testing at all of our locations.  Our women's health care team is here to help guide you through the test and results with confidentiality and compassion.

Menopause Counseling and Care

A women’s body goes through many different changes, and menopause is an important milestone. Connect with our women’s health team to learn about lifestyle modifications and resources, as well as hormonal therapy for patients who are beginning this next chapter (Perimenopause and Menopause).

Telehealth for Women’s Health Issues

The BCHC Women's Health Team can now help you with your medical needs without a trip into our office. Through our telehealth service, we’re able to diagnose and help with a number of women’s health issues, such as irregular periods, heavy or prolonged bleeding, contraceptive counseling, infertility, pregnancy planning, menopause, some urinary symptoms and inflammation or infection (vaginitis).
