Berks Community Health Center (BCHC) is delighted to announce reception of the 2025 Operational Site Visit (OSV) Badge by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) in recognition of its full compliance with all Health Center Program requirements.
This distinction follows an Operational Site Visit conducted by HRSA which determined that BCHC demonstrated full compliance with all Health Center Program requirements. Achieving full compliance reflects BCHC’s commitment to excellence, operational integrity and continued service to patients and the Berks community.
“This recognition affirms the hard work and dedication of our entire team,” said Mary Kargbo, BCHC President and CEO. “It embodies our ongoing commitment to meeting the highest quality standards while providing compassionate, high-quality care to the patients and families we serve.”
This follows other recent recognitions BCHC has earned. In August BCHC was recognized as a Gold Health Center Quality Leader by HRSA for the third consecutive year. At the same time, BCHC also earned four additional quality badges: Behavioral Health, Preventative Health, Improving Healthcare Access, and Advancing Health Information Technology (HIT) for Quality. Then in October, BCHC received three Gold-level outpatient achievement awards from the American Heart Association (AHA).
“I am running out words to say to express my pride in our staff,” said Mrs. Kargbo. “We are proud to receive another recognition and remain committed to advancing our mission of improving health outcomes and expanding access to care for the community.”
Community Health Centers have delivered affordable, accessible, high-quality care to individuals and families across the country for more than sixty years. This success is rooted in the Health Center Program’s commitment to accountability and quality. BCHC is one of over 1,400 community health centers across the country. Their mission is to improve access and the health of our community through delivering coordinated, comprehensive care to all residents of Berks County regardless of economic status.
